Our Story
Hi, I’m Jonas — founder of Vermont Bike & Brew and a proud Vermonter.
When I started this business, I wasn’t just looking to rent e-bikes. I was was motivated to:
- Showcase Vermont’s beauty off the beaten path
- Support small businesses and vibrant local communities
- Create moments of connection, wonder, and joy through outdoor adventure
Since 2020, thousands of riders — locals and travelers alike — have saddled up on our e-bikes to experience Vermont in a new way. And every single ride reminds me why I started Vermont Bike & Brew in the first place: to share the incredible feeling of exploring the outdoors and making meaningful connections along the way.
I’ve been leading outdoor trips since 2009, guiding and teaching students of all ages — from kindergarteners to lifelong learners. I’m a certified Lifeguard, a Wilderness First Responder (CPR certified), and trained in swift-water rescue, avalanche safety, and ropes course facilitation.
Vermont’s Upper Valley has always been my home. From its rolling hills and scenic farmland to its tight-knit communities and spirited local culture, there’s no place quite like it.
When I’m not running Vermont Bike & Brew, you’ll find me hiking, paddling, being a dad, or — no surprise — enjoying a craft beer with friends.
Travel has shaped my life in powerful ways, teaching me that the best memories come not just from the places we go, but from the people we meet along the way. That belief is at the heart of every e-bike tour we offer.
