Hi! My name is Jonas.

When Vermont Bike & Brew launched in 2020, I was on a mission to get people outside. I wanted to give folks a chance to explore Vermont’s beautiful back roads, help them find small businesses and other local treasures, and give them a truly incredible experience. Since the inception of the business, thousands of guests have saddled up on an electric bike and taken an adventure, but I am still on the same mission.

I began leading outdoor trips in 2009 and have experience guiding, leading, and teaching students of all ages from “K” through “Gray”. I am a certified Lifeguard and Wilderness First Responder (includes CPR) and have been trained in swift-water rescue, avalanche safety, and ropes course facilitation.

The Upper Connecticut River Valley region of Vermont has been my home from the beginning, which makes me a proud Vermonter. It is hard to beat the rolling hills, bucolic farmland, and vibrant local culture. When I am not running the business you can find me hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, and – you guessed it – drinking delicious craft beer.

Traveling is one of the things that makes me come alive. I have explored many corners of the globe, having led trips in Europe, Asia, and across North America. Every journey resonates with me in a different way and I have found that one of the most impactful aspects of my traveling has been connecting with the people I meet. Getting a glimpse into someone else’s world has the potential to shape our perspectives and open our eyes to new horizons.

So I invite you to take one of our self-guided tours and enjoy a day well-spent in the Green Mountain State.
